Coming to footwear juttis have a special significance among all other kinds and Laksheeta Govil has recreated the fashion in such a way that now juttis are not for traditional attire anymore but also you can pair up for other casuals, party wear, and more.
The twist of adding a modern spin to traditional footwear like mojari and juttis is where the statement of wearing juttis has changed.
The foundation of Fizzy Goblet
Laksheeta Govil co-founder of Fizzy Goblet, was 24 when she started her carrier, she completed her graduation from Pearl Academy of Fashion Designing, New Delhi during her college she used to design pairs of her design but it was not scalable for her so she started working in puma and Lecovanet Hemanth after her graduation.
After gaining knowledge of couture and women’s wear she followed her dream which was always to be an entrepreneur, with a zeal for doing something in her life she started Fizzy Goblet and quit puma in 2013.
Working on Indian ballerina
Laksheeta started working on Indian traditional footwear juttis which are called Indian ballerina by her, when first she started the business on Juttis it was not perfectly designed some fabrics were uncomfortable the padding inside was not soft and the sides of the product were causing shoe bites.
After experiencing these problems Laksheeta worked on these issues by designing the shoe with soft padding, using fine fabrics, and adding western style to the traditional model where the output turned out to be a successful product
Expansion of the business
Soon after the change in the regular juttis, the business expanded and demand for the products increased by this Laksheeta started working on different types of juttis like loafer-juttis, sneakers-juttis, Hill juttis, Cris cross, Sliders, and Kohlas, etc.
After some time Laksheeta started working with designers like Rahul Mishra and Payal Singhal, but most of the designing is done by herself as per the requirement and changing fashions.
Along with online stores, she has physical stores of footwear in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Pune and also accepts orders from overseas like the Netherlands, the US, the UK, and many more
Even celebrities have also fallen for Fizzy Goblet Bollywood actresses like Sonam Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, Kareena Kapoor, Kiara Advani, and many more.
Inspiration of Laksheeta
The young entrepreneur gets inspired by everything from the place she travels, by reading books, exploring new things on the internet, the latest trending designs and by absorbing the world around her, and getting inspired to try new things on her way
The best way to design something comfortable for the people is by the way of talking to them regarding their ideas, comforts, and designs they are opting for, by this way she pushes herself to pursue the designs and products so that she can provide the desired output.
Working with Artisans
India is rich in its culture, traditions, and beauty and Laksheeta’s main aim is to explore Indian products to the world, for this she started working with artisans for traditional embroidery works especially in Mukesh work and dabka work on different fabrics like silk, linen, jute, cotton, and Banaras.
Artisans will also provide suggestions regarding designs, colors, and fabric because they have good knowledge of the subject, working with artisans makes Laksheeta fun to work with them, it takes 3 to 5 days for them to design a pair of juttis.
Conclusion
As part of working Laksheeta enjoys the environment and joy of running a business. Creating an idea in mind and working to make it a reality is the real joy of doing a job, she also inspires young entrepreneurs and advises them regarding business techniques.
