The idea behind the start-up
Preet and Lakhani are the founders. Preet while his hotel management course realized that nothing can replace ‘khichdi’. Preet while doing always thought that there is something that is locked by the flocks when there away from home that is Khichdi. And therefore, these two friends started Ahmedabad-based urban Khichdi in 2018 which means impose to provide comfort food to the people.
The uniqueness of this start-up
Their main purpose is to make foldable food items and cuisines with no compromise in quality. They are not only selling the food items they have their in-house training modules for the team members to make a show that they don’t lack behind. Their items start from just Rs. 99.
More outlets
Successful getting 100 orders per day they had launched: Dakshination, serving south Indian: Patiala Platter, a venture for North Indian Food: Doughfather, which is all about pizza. Dakshination had three outlets whereas Patiala Platter holds a place in every kitchen.
Plans
Urbanization is growing rapidly along with the increase in the ratio of working youth. Urban Khichdi has raised funds of Rs 2.5 crore in its first round and they will be launching more outlets in Gujarat and also looking to raise an additional Rs. 30 crores which will help them to expand their business by opening ventures in Bengaluru, Gurugram, and Pune and well.
