Nowadays, many startups are coming into existence with innovative creations trying to ease the daily routines, then why can’t farmers get benefitted and lead a peaceful life?
Now this time, a startup that has dedicated their hard work to farmers and presented a vegetable cart with a refrigerator that also runs with the power of solar energy.
The students of IIT Kanpur have come forward to develop a very low-budget vegetable cart for perishable goods with cold storage that can be easily placed on rickshaws, hand carts, pedal cycles, etc. This helps keep vegetables and dairy products fresh for a long time, and the product is named ‘SaptKrishi Sabjikothi‘.
About the founder of the vegetable cart
Nikky Kumar Jha, who is an alumni of IIT, Kanpur, has invented the microclimate storage solution, which claims that vegetables and fruits stay longer live for 5 to 30 days within this storage
This Sabjikothi can be easily carried on marketplaces on any kind of vehicle, and it keeps the products fresh and protects them from damage or any fungus attack and from decomposition. It is so affordable that any vendor can easily own it.
The working of Sabjikothi
This cart oxidizes ethylene hydrocarbon into oxygen, carbon dioxide, water vapor, and also in other small components, which further helps in creating a suitable atmosphere inside the cart by ensuring that the products stay fresh and do not get easily ripen, creating long life.
The product has a capacity of storing 200 kgs at once. The temperature inside the cabin changes and regulates as per the storage. It is available at a price of ₹10000/- per unit.
There is another variety of products that stores 500 kgs for traders who have a wide market scope with an added feature of monitoring on a mobile app for glancing regarding the product condition.
Sabjikothi requires 20 watts of power to run, it has a battery fitted inside the cart, and the charging can last for a whole day, and there is another option of solar power to increase the battery lifetime.
