About the establishment and the founder
The concept of “Bam brew” came into a reality in 2019 in Bangalore after a lot of research work and pre scrutiny done by the founder and CEO of the company Mr. Vaibhav Anant. Earlier, he was working with a Delhi-based Ed-tech startup in 2018. The thought came into his mind after seeing many animals consuming plastics near the sea sights making it painful for them, and inspired him to work on the cause.
The founder made his first move towards the cause by leaving his job in August 2018, starting with producing no plastic straws and supplying them to the nearby cafes in Bangalore, encouraging them to extinguish the use of single-use plastic straws.
The Core Business Activity
Bam brew is a manufacturing company that makes 100% handmade products used in packaging and delivery. The products are supplied to the B2B chain at the platforms like Amazon and Nykaa. In addition, the products are also provided to the local shops and outlets, encouraging their business.
Products Introduced
Initiating an alternative to the plastic straws, several other products were introduced, such as packaging boxes, bamboo-made toothbrushes, an innovative tea maker, travel kits, other cutleries, and many more, ensuring the safety of all the items present in it.
Financial Resources to the Cause
The cause is supported by insightful market players worth $2.4M in 2 cycle rounds of funding by 8 investors. Mumbai Angels and Supack Industries are recent investors. The brand has almost 683 monthly visits with 29 Active tech counts and claims to have total revenue of INR 2 Crores a month.
Future Insights to the Business
With an efficient practice and encouragement towards the product, the company is planning to maintain the funding to increase the supply of the materials ensuring the minimal or no use of plastic to develop on a large scale.
The focus is also on building the tech team to launch a platform for Research & Development. The product is also in the eyes of MISK Global Forum, Saudi Arabia, and Australia.
