Why couldn’t we just quit harping on the value of self-assurance in life?
Confidence is always in style, whether it’s on Instagram or at TEDx presentations, it is the basic foundation to tackle every challenge that life throws at you. Before obtaining anything and everything in life, you must be highly organized with yourself. Confidence is the first thing people notice about you during family gatherings, new friend introductions, job interviews, business meetings, and networking events.
You may possess all the necessary talents and be willing to put out your best foot forward, but if you lack confidence, you will be rejected by even the shadiest creatures.
Fix how you see yourself
Do you tend to reject yourself before others do? Regardless of your skin, teeth, or weight, you have to be your own best friend. Accept and be good with it. Don’t be ashamed of it. Whether you come from a humble background or you don’t have friends, but always remember, that you should never emphasize your low points with others. Respect yourself, and keep moving forward.
Spend time with yourself
You may believe you know yourself, but you don’t; you count your flaws and failures and tell your friends you’re stupid, but you need to stop talking about what you’re not good at and start focusing on what you are excellent at.
Become your own best friend
You don’t have to pay attention to your blunders because in most cases, others will not notice them until you point them out. Watch out for how you talk with yourself and about yourself. Focusing on your strengths will help you preserve your self-esteem by allowing others to notice them more.
Talkback with your inner critic
We all have inner voices in our thoughts telling us why we aren’t good enough, pretty enough, smart enough, and so on. Learn to replace them with positive words. Remember, your subconscious mind converts imagination into reality, so you become what you think. Have a positive inner voice.
Stop comparing
Confidence is knowing who you are and accepting it all like a boss. Count your strengths, and be rebellious enough to embrace your flaws and make peace with them by working on things you can be best at.
Conclusion
No one is born with a successful personality, you have to work with the most dreaded pieces of yours and work on them until you reach a certain point. Sitting and whining about what you are not, will lead you nowhere but steal your opportunity and all movie-like moments of your life.
