And now Zomato has taken a step forward and come up with a new mission to satisfy their customers, which is hot and fresh food delivery under 10 minutes.
Zomato said on March 21st that it would begin delivering food in 10 minutes in its home city, Gurugram, where no food delivery company had done this before. Zomato wants to be the first to serve its savory within 10 minutes of its order. The company named this new service “Zomato Instant.”
Without compromising on the quality, taste, and hygiene of the food, the company maintains its reputation by delivering instantly.
They don’t penalize or pressure delivery people for 10-minute delivery missions because time optimization will not happen on roads and the company won’t risk its staff members for such instant deliveries.
The distance of the orders will also come into consideration before ensuring 10-minute delivery, said Deepinder Goyal, the CEO of Zomato, on his Twitter.
The company has designed eight principles on which the Zomato instant is going to run. They are as follows:
1. The food will be affordable as it is home-cooked. They are not going to charge an extra amount for instant deliveries.
2. No compromise on the packing of the food. Their world-class methods of packing the food keep it hygienic and safe from leaking.
3. Though it provides the best packing, there will be minimal use of plastic.
4. The packing will be done in such a way that it will be convenient to eat anywhere from its order, but not only at home.
5. The high-quality food is served, which is fresh and healthy to have.
6. There will be a traceable supply chain where you can know the live location of your food.
7. The delivery partner maintains complete safety measures.
8. There will be a wide collaboration with restaurants and their partners.
According to the predictability of demand and the preferences of customers, there will be 20–30 best-selling dishes available in the finishing station’s house.
They considered it a very easy job to do as they served and delivered 1.35 billion orders across India from their establishment, which doesn’t seem to be a risky task for the company.
Due to the heavy demand for orders from hyper-local areas, there will be a reduction in the prices of orders, but this will not affect the margins of the restaurants or delivery people. They will have a fair margin irrespective of the change in order prices.
From next month, the Zomato Instant will control four stations in Gurugram, as part of their mission “Better food for more people.”

If the company continues on its envisioned path, it will be able to achieve affordability by reducing its delivery time from 30 to 10 minutes.
