Before the Ashes, Usman Khawaja was not part of the squad. He came into the Ashes as a reserve batsman and didn’t get a chance in the first 3 test matches.
After suffering a head injury, he was able to return to the starting lineup and hasn’t looked back since. He scored twins hundreds in that match. He scored 647 runs in 2022.
