Tilak Mehta, 13 Year boy, developed an app, Papers n parcels. It’s a delivery app door-to-door service. People can book in any shops like boutique shops, fancy stores, etc. they will deliver in one day. He was running his company with the help of Ola, Uber, and Mumbai Dabbawala to deliver the products.
ABOUT TILAK MEHTA
Tilak Mehta was born in 2004 in Gujarat, India. He studied at Garodia international school in Mumbai. Tilak Mehta’s father’s name is Vishal Mehta. He was chief executive officer, and his mother was Kajal Mehta, and she was a housewife. In his 8th grade, he developed the app.
HOW DID HE GET THE IDEA OF A STARTUP
When he was studying 8th grade, he forgot some books in his uncle’s house in which his uncle’s house is far from his city. He called his father to bring the books. But, His father was busy at his office, his father got tired of working in an office. So, he researched Google of courier companies he found that courier charges are more than the books.
He sees the Mumbai dabbawalas, a food delivery company with low courier charges. He thinks if food can provide in less time, then why not other things can be deliver at the same time. He wanted his books urgently for his exams.
He took the help of Mumbai dabbawalas, which is the low price of the product and delivers fast food. He wants to use that for food items, pencils, books, and any other products. So, he started parcels n papers and do door to door delivery.
VISION OF TILAK MEHTA
He wanted that everyone needs all facilities. There are no shops in small towns or villages; there are fewer shops far from the city. For that cities, it is a more useful app.
This app is on the phone. There are 300 employees, and 400 other companies are willing to help him. Around 1000 parcels are out for delivery in a day.
FUTURE ASPIRATIONS AND GOALS
He got an award of a young entrepreneur. He wanted to expand his company all over India. In Chennai, Banglore, Hyderabad, he wants to expand his company in all states.
Tilak Mehta got Global Prodigy Award in 2020.At a young age, he became an entrepreneur. He is planning to launch this app and services in all states.
SUPPORT OF HIS PARENTS
Tilak Mehta’s parents supported him. Some of the children’s parents will tell why business at such a young age. So, his parents didn’t tell him that, and they had supported and encouraged him. He has a twin sister, and she played the biggest role in his life, and she helped him more. His grandparents were concerned about him.
CONCLUSION
For a new invention or being an entrepreneur, age doesn’t matter. Tilak Mehta became more popular at a young age, and he proved that age doesn’t matter for becoming an entrepreneur. First, learn to accept your failures and learn from your failure, and failure is part of your success.
