I couldn’t know where to start and from where it’s been today. This is a perfect example for every teen reading here. Whatever situation may come, it might be whoever is teasing you; always be with your positivity and confidence, fight for your battle, be limitless, and never be concerned about circumstances. So, This is the story of a “Maai” called “Sindhu Tai Sapkal”.
Sindhu Tai was born on 14th November 1948 in Wardha District of Maharastra as her father didn’t want to have her at that time. And finally, everyone ended up calling her as chindi means torn cloth. She comes from the family of cattle grazing family.
The family always considered herself unnecessary doing household chores and other stuff, and her father was absolutely the opposite on education.

But she managed to do literate herself till 4th at the fresh age of 10 years. She was married off to a man of 30 years. And here, a lot more things change against her, from the minor’s age. She decided her own principles teach her to fight for what you feel good.
Later on, this habit of the fight for rights and fight against the exploitation of girls was raised by her. But society used to refuse her, and even they ended up with banned on her.
Due to this reason, her husband pulled her out of his house permanently while she was pregnant for 9 months. However, one cannot visualize how much pain she could have been in but delivered her first child in the cattle shed.
And as she used to serve cattle before, cattle protected her from the enemy and helped her in successful delivery. She went to her maternal home, but she faced an unapologetic rejection from her mother even there.

After giving birth, she felt lost and betrayed n destroyed. Even she tried suicide attempts several times. But her child Mamta face rise up in front of her.
Then she decided to live not for her own and for one who doesn’t have a parent or their bloody relation. Since her childhood, she left Mamta at dagdusheth Ganapati Trust Pune to further educate her daughter.
She fights for the proper rehabilitation of helpless tribal villagers. Her efforts toward social work were noticed by society. She started adopting poor children, abandoned children. Sometimes she needed to beg in front of their rivalries to feed them. And she lonely initiate to walk for her right and start to fight for women’s rights.

Villagers started noticing Herself doing appreciative things.
A year’s passed on, and she continued her fight against women exploration, rehabilitation of villagers, feeding, adopting. She barely manages to establish her first orphanage at chikkhaldara near Amravati.
She was good at doing social welfare work as a motivational speaker or saying poetry to feed her children. She travelled across the world to raise funds instead of doing a motivational speaker.
Even Her children were doing PhD on her. To date, she has successfully adopted and nurtured 1200 and above children. Many of her children are now lawyers and doctors, and her children are running orphanages independently.
Henceforth, her children usually call herself ‘Maai’, which means ‘mother of orphans’. To this date, she received 270 plus national and internal awards from various organizations, and she successfully established her numerous organization for orphans and the needy.
