OnePlus launched its first smartphones in India back in 2014. Since then, the company has placed preferred sales on all its smartphones.
It is a Chinese smartphone brand founded on December 13 by former Oppo vice presidents Pete Lau and Carl Pie. While explaining the company’s philosophy, CEO Pete Lau said that the brand aims to have a tagline “Never End” by manufacturing high-end designed smartphones with flagship hardware that never charges a premium.
After many launches, the company has come up with a new series, Oneplus 10R, with the complete handset of Media Tek Dimensity 8100, a display of 120 Hz, a camera with 50 MP, and 150W of fast charging support. Oneplus 10R devices like chipset, fast charging, display, and camera have many similarities with the recently launched Realme GT Neo 3.
The Oneplus 10R was believed to be released in the market by May after the OnePlus Node CE 2 lite and Nord 2T. The Oneplus10R is the lower-end version of the Oneplus10Pro and will replace the Oneplus 9R.
The Specific Features of the Oneplus 10R
- It features a 6.7-inch FHD+ E4 AMOLED display with HDR 10+ support and a 120Hz refresh rate.
- The device will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset.
- The RAM options will be offered as 8GB and 12GB LPDDR5 along with 128 GB and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 inbuilt storage.
- The audio supports Dolby and stereo speakers with a 3.5mm audio jack.
- Oneplus 10R will be the first phone in the number series to not offer an Alert Slider.
- Along with the above features, the Oneplus 10R will specialize in a triple rear camera system that includes an 8 MP ultra-wide Sony IMX 355 sensor, a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor with OIS, and a 2 MP macro. And for video chats and selfies, it has a 16MP S5K3P9SP snapper as a front camera.
- Oneplus 10R has an Android version of Oxygen OS 12 and it has a battery that offers 5000mAh with 80W fast charging, the same as the Realme GT neo 3.
The design of the new Oneplus 10R
When it comes to the cameras of the Oneplus 10R, they come with punch camera holes at the center point, making it the first phone with this specific style. The power button will be on the right side, and the volume rocker will be on the left.
There is a large primary sensor on the top, and regular-sized lenses will be side by side. As said before, there will be no alert slider. The camera portion of Oneplus seems to be rebranded and renamed the Realme GT neo 3.
The comparison between the Oneplus 10R and Oneplus 9R
Last year, the company launched the Oneplus 9 series model, namely the Oneplus 9R, which was powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset with no choking and heating issues. That’s why it was considered one of last year’s best high-end processors.
Coming to Oneplus 10R, it will have the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC. Both have an AMOLED display, where 10R has a 6.7-inch panel, whereas 9R has a 6.55-inch panel.
The battery of the 10 R is 150W fast charging, whereas the 9 R has 65W. The camera of the 9R offers a 48MP Sony IMX 586, a 16MP Sony IMX 481, a 5MP micro lens, and a 5MP monochrome sensor, whereas the 10R consists of a 50MP triple camera system.
In our view, Oneplus 10R is worth buying as it comes with the latest MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC chipset and all-new 150 W fast charging technology and offers various latest features.
