Composite Water Management Index published by NITI Aayog put forward a report to raise public awareness on the water crisis issue:
India is going through one of the worst water crisis in its history. It has only 4 per cent of planet freshwater available for 16 per cent of its population.
Every year, 60 crore people are estimated to face “high to extreme” water shortages. 2 lakhs people die due to inadequate supply of safe and clean drinking water. The situation is getting worse day by day and treating a crisis like a crisis is urgency.
Do you know?
Car wash is one of the major causes contributing to water wastage. It takes around 90 litres of fresh water to wash a car through the pipe and 40 liters using a bucket in one go. Adding more to this data, the car washing services use 150-200 liters on a single car to give it a premium look.
This is unbelievable! Now you can imagine the amount of water wasted to wash 23 crore cars in the country. You can’t waste an essential resource just like this. If conserved, the same amount is available to quench the thirst of many.
Can you wash your car without water?
Nitin Sharma, a young automobile businessman, washing your car without using a single drop of water has been made possible.
About Go Waterless
Being an automobile business owner, Nitin mainly deals with the cleaning segment that offers car washing services to many of his customers. He generates a large part of the income from this segment.
But the water shortage during summer had hindered the washing operations for the past two years. After this, he challenged himself to find a permanent solution and promised not to let his business suffer more.
Nitin heard from someone about the concept of waterless car washing. He went deeper and found that spray is a better alternative to water. But the sprays contain harmful chemicals that may corrode the metal and damage the paint.
After two years of extensive research and trials, Nitin successfully developed a plant-based highly lubricant cleaning spray that works on nanotechnology.
He made this happen with the help of chemical engineers. Further, he planned to launch the spray with an investment of 10 lakhs.
