Founders
Sumeet Mehta and Smita Deorah are the co-founders of LEAD. Smita is a certified Chartered Accountant. Later, she has done executive programs at Harvard school of education and Stanford graduate school of business.
On the other hand, Sumeet is a management executive and later became an educator by choice. He has more than 20 years of expertise in this field.
They further aim to transform the education system in India, and their main focus is the small towns.
Objective

In Ed-tech, people usually focus on test preparation and tuition. But, LEAD is important to school because children spend more of their time.
Therefore, they developed School Ed-tech. They believe every child should have access to high-quality education, which is also affordable.
Hence, they have specially implemented their platform for small towns in India.
LEAD makes spending on school more efficient. They achieve this by providing a high value, an integrated solution that will significantly improve learning outcomes at school to the parents in the school fees they are anyways paying.
The two started with a small school in a remote village with only 14 students. They observed that a lack of proficiency in English was a big obstacle.
Later they took over 4 govt. Schools and several other public schools. In 2017 they started providing an integrated system to schools by digitizing their curriculum.
In 2018 LEAD received an Education Leadership Award from the American Leadership Board. In 2019 they received the Best School Management award. Later last year, LEAD was appreciated by Outlook India for its great work and the impact that it has left on the education system.
Presently, LEAD integrated system includes 20+ states, 400+ cities, 3,000+ schools and 12,00,000+ students across the country.

LEAD records and monitors the data and sets goals to improvise the performance of the schools. They focus on improving the learning experience of students and the teaching experience of teachers.
They install Smart TV in classrooms, provide tablets to teachers, and give an excellence kit.

LEAD has raised a fund of more than $100 million and is backed by giants like Elevar Equity, Westbridge, and GSV Ventures.
