In our daily routine life, resources we use somewhere destroy the environment, and we are not even destroying the environment but also harming ourselves.
The biggest example is plastic, for example, shampoo bottles, juice bottles, water bottles, cold drink bottles, chips packets, etc. But plastic is a non-biodegradable material that harms the environment a lot.
Everyone knows this thing very well; despite this, we are not changing our priorities and buying plastic products.
According to the 2018 and 2019 surveys, India collects 3.3 million metric tons of plastic garbage. We can estimate by this survey that so many countries banned plastic bags because they know how much it is harmful to the environment.
Samiksha Ganeriwal – Founder of Kagzi Paper Bottle
Samiksha Ganeriwal is the founder of the Kagzi Paper Bottle Company. She found out the solution of making 100% biodegradable paper bottles from compostable paper waste.
Then she started with a small start-up that made 100% eco-friendly paper water bottles. She not even gave a solution to the nation but also to the world. This is an excellent alternative to plastic bottles.
She resides in Noida, UP and worked with many companies to get experience before working on her project. She was working on this project from her college days.
Samiksha completed her MBA from Jyoti Institute of Management in 2006. After that, she worked in Hyderabad and Noida to get experience for her project.
Finally, in 2016 she started work on her project and completed it in 2020. The bottles are completely decomposable and have zero per cent (0%) of plastic.
She started this project with 12 lakhs, and the company is working on shampoo and conditioner bottles. These bottles are very cheap than plastic bottles. The company can make a bottle in two days and 2 lakhs in a month.
Kagzi Paper Bottles is a solution to many problems
Kagzi paper bottles are renewable, recyclable, compostable, biodegradable, etc. Today pollution is the biggest problem in so many countries. And due to this, serious diseases are evolving on the biggest stage like Dengue, Corona, etc.
Big companies like Pepsi and Coca Cola are finding a solution for plastic bottles because these companies use single-use plastic, which causes pollution in the environment.
Kagzi started work on shampoo and conditioner bottles. Although these bottles are not transparent even, then they are purely eco-friendly.
The bottles are made up of waste papers, and these waste papers came from a Himachal-based company. They made solutions with waste papers and made eco-friendly bottles.
In the starting point, Samiksha Faced many difficulties like funding, correct machinery for paperwork, lack of awareness, right people for building the work.
When she showed these bottles in front of family and friends, they were surprised after seeing their colour and size. But Samiksha wanted to find out the solution for single-use plastic.
Many multinational companies now wanted to work with Kagzi to make their nation pollution-free, especially after Covid-19. Everyone is aware that nature has a vital role in every individual.
Future Plans
Recently, the company has been producing bottles for shampoo, conditioners, and lotions. The price of these bottles is lower than plastic bottles, approx ₹19 to ₹22.
The company set up a manufacturing unit in four cities across India for food and beverages. The company works on sustainable products, and for making products, they use bamboo instead of plastic.
Conclusion
Samiksha’s idea of making paper bottles is not even new but also a revolutionary change to the world. In the present scenario, the whole world by which fighting for is ‘pollution’.
In my opinion, we all should take part in this idea to make some changes to the world so nature can exist for our future generation.
