We do not know when and where our life will take a U-turn, and we simply follow the path that we have never dreamt about, and then later it becomes our destiny. We are passionate about something and our lives plan differently. This was the same thing that happened with Prafull Billore, who dropped his passion for pursuing an MBA and became a young entrepreneur.
From a small town in Madhya Pradesh, Dhar, to a millionaire entrepreneur, the story of Prafull Billore is an inspiration for all youngsters.
During his pursuit of an MBA in the year 2017, he also used to work a part-time job at McDonald’s to experience how working out would be beneficial at very low pay.
But later, he realized if he started working in this way after completing his MBA, he couldn’t earn enough from it and would never satisfy his life, so he decided to quit his studies and start a tea stall on the SG Highway in Ahmedabad.
ON BECOMING MBA CHAI WALA
Investment is always a barrier for startups, Prafull was only left with Rs. 8000/-out of his savings, by which he couldn’t start beverages or food startups, so the only option left to him was to sell chai at the roadside.
Like all other parents, Praful’s parents were also against his choice and felt very weird about his decision. Neighbors and relatives always have their own way of criticism, which did not even bother Prafull. He was just following his heart and ignored everything.
In the initial stages, Prafull didn’t even know how to prepare a perfect cup of tea, and things got messed up with him. All he managed to learn was how to make a good tasty cup.
Conversing in good English with his customers made them surprised at how a tea seller could be that good at English. This way, he got a lot of popularity and his business as well.
How Did Prafull Billore Taste Success?
We all know India is called the “country of tea”, and most Indians want to sip a cup of tea at any time of the day. Prafull Billore thought that tea is a business wherein no time you can see a success path by taking inspiration from Chaayos and Chai Point, and he wants to attract customers who like to sit in cafes and chat for some time and have a cup of tea for Rs.40 or 50.
Prafull used to try different techniques and styles in his cafe to engage customers and popularize his business. He used to organize cricket matches and Ludo games and arrange a board for customers to leave comments and opinions. This made them interesting, and people liked visiting them again and again.
GROWTH AND ACHIEVEMENTS OF PRAFUL
Soon, MBA Chaiwala started his franchise across the country and became the second most popular chaiwala in India. He also started taking marriage orders and political rallies to spread awareness of his chai.
On Valentine’s Day, Prafull Billore organized a free chai event where he served free chai to all the singles, which became very viral and gained popularity globally.
Organized economic uplift programs for underprivileged people, for women’s empowerment, and for fundraising social events and campaigns, and always supported economic welfare programs.
Further plans for MBA CHAIWALA
Presently, MBA chaiwala is concentrating on and working to expand their business. After having an outlet on the highway for two years, Prafull started to expand its business by providing franchises in different places and starting a franchisee cafe in Bhopal.
Now, Chaiwala runs 50 outlets, and Prafull plans to start 100 outlets all around the country by the end of 2022.
He aims to bring out many millionaires from small towns who always have a dream of doing something different.
AT THE END
Every work is respectful and worth doing when it is accepted and attempted with honor and a heart full of desire in doing it.
