Mukesh Ambani’s Jiomart joins hands with WhatsApp to provide vegetables and groceries home service. An effort towards digitalizing the Indian retail market and improving the margins for the retail shop owners. To scale up the business, the e-commerce platform Jiomart is running for a fight with big companies like Amazon and Flipkart by rolling out an easy online shopping way.
WhatsApp Introducing a New Feature
WhatsApp and Meta (formerly known as Facebook) will bring this feature into use for over 400 million application users in 2022. They are running on trial mode for a group of WhatsApp users. To link the retailers and the customers, Jiomart is forming this conversational platform.
Separate Run-Through
Ambani’s twin Children, Isha and Akash, gave a separate run-through of the whole discourse of ordering with free delivery on time to fuel up the economy of India. A new tap and chat option, just like other attachment options, will help to place the order and the execution till delivery is free for the application users. The payment methods available are by paying with Jiomart wallet or cash on delivery. There is no minimum order value, and customers can fill their carts and then place the order.
Convenient to the users and the retailers
Online shopping is taken care of with the online conversation application WhatsApp and the e-commerce Jiomart. Akash tells about the convenience this feature will bring in the life of the users and the retailers. WhatsApp is an easy conversation app, making the whole ordering process smooth. The conversational nature of the application will make it a cakewalk without any customer inhibition.
Isha further adds that the customers now just have to order away, and that’s it. Vegetables, fruits, bread, butter, beverages, and everything will be available, and you just have to look away and search on the portal. Set a subscription for everyday delivery or just any day according to your needs and make changes if necessary. We will help you order things that you might like to use by reading your purchase history.
Boost up the Economy
This partnership aims to join the 400 million application user to the half a million retailers to connect and take the country’s economy up. Jiomart and WhatsApp together open up a new avenue for both the companies and they plan on working together and opening a lot more opportunities and features for the people.
Use Jio Recharge or WhatsApp Payment Option.
Akash explains the ease it is going to bring to the people by talking about the old age people and the efforts it takes from them to get to the grocery store every time they need something, and it happens every day. So that can be helped by the Jio recharge feature, and now people can also pay from the WhatsApp payment option added recently.
Together, food and groceries sum up to be nearly half of India’s retail and will approximately reach $1.5 trillion by 2025 by Boston Consulting Group. Vegetables to cereals, toothpaste, panner, and flour all will be available to the general WhatsApp user by the next year.
