He was born on August 4 1985. When he was young, he was employed as a tour guide. When promoted to college, He was appointed as a president of all Ladakh Student Association in Jammu for a year.

Political Career
While the 2019 elections in Lok Sabha were announced, the BJP sought a young candidate from the Ladakh region. The JTN was chosen as a candidate in the Ladakh parliamentary constituency.
He was elected to 17th Lok Sabha, representing the Ladakh constituency, replacing his mentor Thupstan Chhewang.
With his speech, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal received rousing applause within the Lok Sabha and from various quarters, with even the Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla noting how well the young MP spoke.
