For thousands of years ago, India has been on the list of beautiful and pleasant smells of spices and herbs. In 1499 the Portuguese sailor Vasco de Gama came to India for trading because of the glorification of spices in India. Indian spices have magical powers which can change the taste of any cuisine.
Although a variety of spices are used in the kitchen across India, the power of Indian spices is incredible. Indian spices and herbs are not even used in food recipes but also in Indian Drinks. And the use of spices in drinks using from many ancient times by our Ancestors.
India is a god gifted land on Earth. It is alleged that this land is the land of God and Goddess where god took incarnation for the good of human beings. So let’s talk about how we can use these magical spices in our drinks and make ourselves healthy.
1. Ginger Milk Tea
This is a very common drink usually used in India. It is a simple drink made in homes, restaurants, Chai shops, and now it got a royal tag after spreading this news that the honorable Prime Minister was selling ‘Chai’.
Ginger has Gingerol, which is a bioactive compound in Ginger. Gingerol instantly reduces oxidative stress. Gingerol has anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties. That is why whenever we feel stressed always take a cup of ginger tea.
2. Fennel Tea
Fennel tea is a tea type that helps relieve constipation and weight loss. We can enjoy this tea with health benefits. Fennel is an anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial- free.
3. Fresh Mint and Lemon Tea
Mint and Lemon becoming famous among Indian tea lovers. We can find out this Masala in a teabag or directly we can make with fresh mints and some drops of lemon in the cup. Mint may help to reduce bad breath into the mouth. Lemon is a good source of vitamin C, which help to fight diseases like kidney stones, Anemia, Cancer, etc.
4. Orange pekoe tea
Orange pekoe tea is the highest level form of Green tea. We can find it in markets with the name of Black tea. It contains Flavanoids and polyphenols, which have anti-oxidants, prevents cardiovascular diseases, stables blood pressure and sugar level.
5. Masala Chai or Tea
Masala chai is the most famous chai among Indians. Masala chai contains magical masalas like cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, Ginger, Black pepper, fennel seeds, etc. This Masala we can find in market easily with varies of brands. You can consume this tea for reducing stress instantly. We can also offer a cup of masala chai to take a short break.
6. Indian Cardamom Tea
Indian Cardamom tea is known in India as ‘Elaichi Chai’. Elaichi tea has a delightful smell which attracts tea lovers for tea cravings. Cardamom helps to prevent low blood pressure, reduce bad breath, cancer diseases, etc.
7. Jaggery Tea
Instead of, sugar we can add jaggery to our tea and make it healthy. We can make jaggery tea with milk with add some amount other ingredients. Jaggery tea can take diabetes patients and health-conscious people.
Tea is a famous drink in India. We can say it has been a traditional drink for so many years and an all-time favourite thing of Indians. At least one cup of tea is used to drink by Indians a day.
Today, not even in India but also in many parts of all over the world becoming famous day-by-day. India is the largest exporter of tea after China and plays an essential role in GDP.
In my opinion, the tradition of drinking tea will never end in the future because it is not a drink; it is part of every Indian life.
