On the 24th of October, 2021, Pakistan broke India’s streak by winning the match by 10 wickets in T20 World Cup. It was one of the best performances by the Pakistan team.

The newbie-filled team was the underdog in this match, with very little experience, compared to biggies like Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, and Rohit Sharma.

This match was not only won by strength but with smartness.

Let’s do a little analysis of how Pakistan won this match. And what was the Indian Team’s mistake in this T20 World Cup Match?

    Pakistan chose to bowl

India’s batting front was the strongest in this match. While we did have Virat Kohli doing his best.

Cricket is not a one-person show, and it is a team game.

Team India was overflowing with bowlers and lacked batsmen to score this time.

Pakistan saw the opening, and they took their chances; the first three wickets had already decided the game’s fate.

India had lost the game when the first three batsmen were taken out, as they were the strength of India’s front batsmen.

Virat Kohli tried his best, but even he couldn’t stop what was to come.

Pakistan choice to bowl changed the course of the game. Not only was it a brilliant idea, but coming from such a young team makes us realize why we should not underestimate someone.

Pakistan’s team played with tactics while India tried to play with strength and experience.

    Pakistan’s Team was Younger

While India consisted of older, experienced players, and Pakistan had a younger team. From the Captain to the bowler, everyone was young.

They were filled with more energy and strength than India.

It also was their moment to prove themself. At the same time, the Indian team had established themself before.

The pressure was immense, and they proved themselves, but most importantly, it proved Babar Azam as a Worthy captain.

So that’s two things that happened yesterday, Team Pakistan was more athletic, and this was the first biggest match of their career.

    India was Overconfident.

This brings us to the most critical point, Team India was Overconfident, but they weren’t the only ones who were overconfident. The fans of team India were also overconfident for victory.

Team India knew the other team was the underdog, and they underestimated them, with all of us.

I think it was the biggest mistake ever, India wasn’t at its best in this match, which drove the match’s fate.

    India’s Bowling was weak

India did a terrible job at Bowling. No matter how much you want to blame a batsman, if the batting side of your team fails, it’s the bowler on whom the rest of the match depends.

Not only did the Batsmen, excluding Kohli, do a bad job in the match yesterday, but the bowlers also were not doing great either.

The fact that they were unsuccessful in taking even one wicket proves the point.

    Weak Captaincy

Many might disagree with me on this point, but Kohli was doing great as a Captain in this match.

Yes, he did his best job at batting, but that is his Batsman ship, not Captaincy. It was clear he was playing alone, without the team, whereas Babar was a team player from the start.

The role of the Captain is an essential part of Cricket, and you need to play with the team, and Kolhi failed.

If you want to see the difference, know the score of Virat Kohli and the batsman who played with him and compare it to Babar Azam and Mohmad Rizwan’s partnership. At the same time, both Babar and Rizwan completed their fifties together, and Surya was not even close to 30, and Virat had completed his fifty runs.

    Conclusion

I think this was a well-deserved victory. Pakistan played really good, and they deserve the recognition. As for India, they tried their best.

Now for the fans of Cricket on both sides, let’s not make this game of unity turn into hate-mongering.

India is still a long way from getting eliminated from the T20 World Cup, and the Finals are still on their way so let’s hope for the best.
