Everyone nowadays wants to live a life that is based solely on the food they consume, the water they drink, and, most importantly, a pollution-free environment.
There are many methods people are using and inventing innovative equipment to make it possible by introducing organic foods, chemical-free products, and electric automobiles to reduce pollution and provide a friendly atmosphere by not harming nature.
ABOUT COMPANY & FOUNDERS
There is a company whose mission is to create zero emissions by introducing an electric scooter rental delivery app.
The launch of the Zypp app by Mobcy, India’s leading tech-enabled electric vehicle service platform, will make India carbon-free by launching an ecosystem of electric vehicles.
The Zypp Electric was started in 2017 by Akash Gupta, co-founder & CEO, and Rashi Agarwal, co-founder & CBO. The mission of Zypp is to make India zero-emission by 2025 and mobile by 2030.
The vision is to make delivery affordable and sustainable mobility by building the largest tech-enabled, full-stack asset-light electric mobility network.
ZYPP BUSINESS MODEL
Zypp’s electric business model is to provide last-mile emission-free, carbon-free rides for B2B transactions from local merchants to e-commerce giants to reach their destinations.
We can save money on petrol and delivery costs while maintaining a pollution-free environment by using electric vehicles and asset-light model technology.
The company not only rents out electric vehicles but also transports foods, medicines, groceries, and e-commerce packages from one location to another, i.e. from the place of production to the final consumer.
This maintains its high performance at a very low cost through its fully automated, AI-enabled vehicles.
The batteries are tracked and replaced at Zypp swapping stations located at key touchpoints.
This eco-friendly, pollution-free electric vehicle reduces delivery costs while keeping the city pollution-free and causing no harm to the environment.
The company provides four types of vehicles:
1. Zypp Power for heavy-duty deliveries with a trolly in its back
2. Zypp Thunder for super hot food delivery purpose
3. Zypp Rapid Last mile for rentals
4. Zypp Dash for high-speed taxi delivery
HOW TO USE THE APP WITHIN 5 STEPS
First, Download the app from the Google Play Store – Do your KYC while registering on the App – Choose your plan – Scan the scooter – Ride it as if you own it.
FUNDING AND INVESTMENT IN ZYPP APP
The company has raised a funding of ₹15 crores in November 2019 for reconstructing the business and investing in B2B operations.
It is also planning to raise ₹100 crores funds for the expansion of business in reality. Zypp received ₹35 crores investments from domestic and foreign investors, and there is a talk that the investors are interested in investing more than ₹60 crores in the upcoming days.
The Zypp has tie-ups with big B2B clients such as Amazon, Flipkart, Licious, Spencer, Myntra, and Bigbasket to serve their last time business services and also tie-ups with original equipment manufacturers like Hero Electric and Lohia Auto to obtain the vehicle.
But instead of buying them in advance, it gets them by funding high-net-worth individuals to whom it pays a monthly rental for about 3 years after which the vehicle is owned.
ZYPP FUTURE PLANS
The CEO of the company said that they have 1500 vehicles at present which are operating in Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru.
The company has a plan to raise 15000 vehicles in the coming year and has also decided to start the services in metro cities like Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, and Pune to render their services.
The company targets transforming last-mile deliveries by using electric vehicles rather than petrol vehicles by availing its EV technology and tech-enabled techniques in the process.
CONCLUSION
Many companies seek to profit by ignoring nature and its harmful side effects, but startups like Zypp deal with nature as part of their business development. If it succeeds in its mission, the company will be able to increase its value and reach new heights.
