Nowadays, everyone seems to run after Electric Vehicles, and it looks like the era of fuel-based cars is coming to an end.
Soon, cars, bikes, scooters, buses, cargos, etc., will be relics of the past. My previous three articles were on options consumers had in an e-bike.
I also wrote about Euler Motors and its impact on commercial weapons.
But if you have noticed, you must be aware of this sudden rise in demand for EVs, so in this article, I will point a point breakdown on why people are choosing Electric vehicles instead of Fuel based.
So let’s go!
Electric Vehicles are economical
An EV is economical compared to fuel-based vehicles, and it is cheaper to make them, more affordable to buy them, and their maintenance fee is low, almost nothing.
It is easier for a middle-class man in India to ride an electric bike than a normal bike.
Now granted, Electric cars are a little more expensive than a standard car, which also explains why people are so keen on buying electric bikes or scooters, but very few buy an E-car.
But due to low maintenance, lower prices, people are turning towards Electric bikes instead of fuel-based ones.
People are getting aware of Climate Change
As more people are being educated and coming in contact with the world, people are becoming aware of the effect bikes, and cars have on the climate and atmosphere.
The more people realise about the issue, the more they are buying E-bikes instead of fuel ones.
E-bikes/vehicles might not be our best chance at fighting climate change, but it is the only chance with today’s technology.
EV’s help us fight climate change on ground level.
I think that is one of the reasons why people buy EVs; it gives them a feeling of victory and belongingness as if they are part of something far more significant than their lives.
People buy EV’s for the sake of a cause, and that cause is to save the planet.
And I believe we should all be participating in this cause.
Because there might be wonderful planets in the universe, but Earth is the only one that feels like home.
Even if we become a multi-planetary species, I feel Earth needs to be around in its previous glory for our descendants to look at a legacy left by the people unknown from various parts of history.
Technology is Updating
As time moves forward, technology is advancing as well. Can you believe it was only four decades and 2 years ago when the first man kept his foot on the moon? Now we are just a decade away from sending the first people to colonise Mars.
We have sent satellites beyond the asteroid belt and captured the oldest photo in the Universe, in the freaking Universe!
And with this advancement, it was inevitable for the fuel-based vehicles to come to an ultimate end. And that’s where we have reached.
When you compare a fuel-based vehicle with an EV, it’s like someone comparing an Aeroplane to a bicycle.
While EVs are equipped with digital screens, pattern locks, phone calls, contacts, GPS, voice activation, the only tech you’ll find in fuel-based vehicles is the start button.
Fossil Fuel is getting expensive
Now let’s get to the real point. In Rajasthan, Petrol is ₹120 per litre, whereas electricity only cost ₹7 per unit.
Ather 450X takes two units to charge.
This means to charge Ather 450X fully, you only have to pay only ₹14, and you only need to charge once a week.
And luckily for Ather owners, Ather has given one year of free charge on their charging stations.
Which is a huge difference! And that is forcing people to shift to Electric Vehicles.
You can save thousands of rupees by using an EV.
Conclusion
Electric Vehicles are the future of Transportation. Whether you like it or not, everyone eventually will have to switch to EVs and leave the fuel-based behind.
And I would even say, start buying Electric Vehicles, before the demand rises, and so do the prices.
In other words, to conclude the whole series that I started with Rivot, followed by iQube and Devot, the era of EV has begun.
This is the future we dreamed of as a kid. And soon, it will be reality.

I’ve been browsing online more than 4 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article
like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me.
In my opinion, if all web owners and bloggers made
good content as you did, the net will be a lot
more useful than ever before.
