The idea behind the Ola Electric scooter was to safeguard nature. Vehicles in India tend to consume 12,000 Cr litres of fuel annually, responsible for over 40% of pollution in the country. It is important to get away from vehicular pollution and to solve it.
Ola has set a mission beginning in India and spreading it worldwide. The company has an ‘OLA future factory’, the globally largest 2-wheeler factory set up in the country.
The Factory was set up in 2017; the ‘Ola Cab subsidiary’ entirely owned Ola electric mobility. This Factory will have 15% of the world’s capacity of two-wheelers. The Factory is set to produce 10 million scooters in a year, equal to 1 scooter every 2 seconds.
Later on, in 2019, it was descended as a separate identity owned by Bhavish Agarwal. He is the CEO and Chairman of these electric scooter technologies. Ola E scooters are manufactured in the southern part of India, i.e. Tamil Nadu.
Different Variants of OLA E-Scooters
Two variants of this scooter were introduced to the public for purchase – S1 and S1 pro. People have been very keen to purchase these two-wheeled scooters and have had over 1 lakh bookings since July this year. The unit registration has not been revealed so far.
The scooter was supposed to be available on September 8, 2021, for purchase which was later delayed due to technical difficulties while building the website for live customer purchase. The showrooms are available in Jaipur, Bangalore, Kerala, Mumbai, Gujarat, Kerala, Delhi, etc.

The S1 variant of Ola is the best scooter ever built and a most expected change from a vehicle with the best design, performance, and best technology. Fluid design, iconic headlamps, and large boot space with two helmets and stunning vibrant colours with 181 Km IDC range.

Ola E scooter and its Competition
Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, and Simple One are the major competition in line. However, keeping all the SWOT and PESTLE factors in mind, Ola still emerges to be in the top 1 list due to its affordable prices compared to other scooters.
Ola has touchscreen displays, whereas TVS iQube has the same but with dedicated buttons.
Bajaj Chetak has a 3KWh battery pack pumping 4.08 KW output but higher prices.
Conclusion
With its top-notch design, pricing, and technology, the supercharged Ola electric scooter is all set to bring transformation in India and challenge its competitors.
