Anger is a powerful emotion that can be harmful (if not handled properly) and harmless (when taken out assertively).
Aggression can be categorized in three ways: Passive aggression, Open aggression, and Assertive aggression.
A person going completely silent, procrastinating, or delaying to face a situation is undergoing passive aggression.
He is unwilling to accept the rage inside him that has built up due to a particular situation, person, or action.
Such aggression is harmful to a person’s mental well-being and inner peace.
A person who has a habit of lashing out due to the aggression inside regarding a person or situation is highly.
Unlike by everybody. And can’t prefer to be a person to hang out with People with such violent behavior are harmful to others and also to themselves.
A person who is always looking for a positive way to deal with his aggression is happy and peaceful every time his temper touches the sky. People who keep an open mind.
Dealing with an unpleasant situation is likely to cope with their anger properly by following steps directed by a calm person in the same condition.
This type of aggression does not harm anybody is a trait which a mature person possesses.
Many people suffer from anger issues that Probably arise due to reasons like depression or alcoholism or suppress their emotions.
Some people have different problems which can trigger their aggression, like, family issues, financial issues, stress at work, dissatisfaction in life, and many more reasons.
Symptoms arising due to anger can be categorized into two forms- Physical and emotional.
A person can have high blood pressure, increased heartbeat rate, anxiety, and muscle tension.
These major physical symptoms are seen in a person who suffers from passive aggression or open aggression.
Whereas, below are a few emotional symptoms seen in a person who undergoes an episode of aggression.- irritability, anxiety, stress, overwhelming feeling, rage, or guilt.
Below, I am stating some points which educated me about anger management:
1. Avoid conversations when in anger
If you are in a state of aggression, you should avoid getting into a conversation with others so that no verbal harm is done due to your anger.
2. Assertively act when angry
Try to convey your concerns and needs to others after cooling off your anger and properly framing your sentences without harming the other person’s emotions.
3. Channelize your energy
When you are undergoing a rough time and have trouble with your aggressive behaviour, try to indulge yourself in activities like working out.
That will surely be a way to channelize your negative energy onto a positive path.
4. A good sleep cycle
A healthy sleep cycle routine reduces stress and irritation in a person’s mind, which ultimately helps a person keep cool during havoc.
Now, as you have gone through the above points, that might help you manage your anger. I would at this moment.
Conclusion
My views on this topic by stating my last point for those who are still unable to control their anger by following the above pointers, “It is okay to seek help from a professional”.
People feel ashamed talking about their mental health or issues they are facing.
Still, we should keep in mind that, just like in the case of flu, we need the help of a doctor. In the same manner while dealing with emotional issues.
Consulting a psychologist is also a helpful step in fixing your uncomfortable situation.
