Gujarat Titans once again proved that no odds could deny them a victory. The franchise has made some serious strides forward as they are the only team that has lost 1 game till now. The Head Coach Gary Kirsten has done a wonderful job as he has groomed Hardik Pandya as a captain as well as a batter. The management has taken some surprising calls as they have made Tewatia a finisher.

Hardik Pandya’s most likely home-coming
The all-rounder had received a lot of criticism for his poor performance in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 and, later, the management and selectors dropped and ignored him. But now he is banging on the door of the Indian National Team. Currently, there is cut-throat competition as the likes of Shivam Dube and Venkatesh Iyer are already there who have grabbed their place.
Overall, Hardik has a steep road ahead and who knows, maybe winning the IPL will get him another chance in the Indian team.

Virat Kohli Fires
The former RCB former Skipper silenced all the critics and said he would be relieved. He had a horrible season where he didn’t score a single 50. Virat had a string of ducks and poor dismissals which hampered RCB’s progress. Against the Gujarat Titans, he took his time and then went berserk.
The knock was not of a 2016 Virat where he was bashing the bowlers all around the park, though he found his mojo back. He scored a half-century and was fine on the knock.

GT finishers on a roll
David Miller and Rahul Tewatia now have made a habit of chasing improbable targets. The matches against SRH, CSK, and now RCB. They are literally bossing the match and winning from impossible situations. The surprise package proved to be the Afghanistan Super-Star Rashid Khan. He is toying with the bowlers and all of sudden hitting lusty blows.
All in all, Gujarat Titans have less to ponder but at the same time, they can’t chase 44 in 3 overs, as the skipper, Hardik Pandya said in the post-match presentation that the team can run out of luck and miracle.

What lies ahead for RCB
RCB now needs to win all the remaining matches, that too with a good margin, like 30-50 runs, and by 8 wickets. Faf, the skipper, now needs to pull the socks and play long innings as his 20-odd runs aren’t enough for RCB. RCB have a dangerous batting lineup and a good bowling line-up, but they aren’t winning the IPL, which is the ultimate.
The likes of Maxwell and Dinesh Karthik need to play smartly as they are the designated finishers. We all know how destructive DK can be on his day. Does the question remain, when will RCB play like a team? They have an abundance of talent that no one can doubt.
They had a dream 2016 season, but since then they have not made it to the finals nor won the championship. All in all, it’s a crunch situation for RCB, which looks like a steep one.
