Many people hold a soft spot for vintage things Clothes, music, art and cars. Without any doubt, cars from the decade of the 60s until the 80s are unique vehicles, and they have a sophisticated charm about them, distinctive and stylish. Be it American muscle cars or European sportscars. Every model made you feel a certain way as you sat In it or drove it.
A time period, they had everything that was needed.
From a good engine, great sound system, well-functioning air conditioning and heating, projecting taillights, quarter glass windows, front bench seats and features that still remain evergreen, which generations before us will always love and miss. The long, stretch bodies in vibrant colours and spacious interiors with extreme comfort will always stand out and separate these cars from newer modern versions. So why change them? Maybe not entirely.
Modern Issues
Obviously, over the time period, technology developed, as did people’s lifestyles. Things aren’t as simple anymore, rather complex. We want Bluetooth, and we also need navigation systems like Google maps, and we want televisions, voice recognition and touch screens. Better, more advanced engines are required, up-gradation of the basic mechanics of the car, and so much more.
Environmental Issues
Besides human necessities, the rate at which carbon emissions are taking place is extremely concerning for the future of our planet. Majority of it is to do with our mode of transport, among other things. Petrol and diesel are non-renewable fuels; therefore, at some point, we won’t be able to replenish them.
Why Electric Cars?
They are the future. Although many of us still use petrol and diesel-powered vehicles, those that drive electric ones are the real heroes. There are hybrids, and then there’s completely electric. They’re cheaper, reduce emissions, conveniently charged in the comfort of your home instead of heading to a gas station, quieter engines and plenty more benefits.
Many well-known car companies have launched hybrid and electric variations of their models. BMW, Porsche, Jaguars and Mercedes, to name a few. But when we think about electric cards, our first thought goes to a Tesla that is vintage Vehicles.
It’s easy to buy a high-end luxury brand new electric toy, but what if you want to help the environment AND stay classic? There is a way for that too.
Vintage Electric Vehicles: A match made in eco-friendly heaven
It’s not easy. Conversion means reengineering the basic functioning of the entire vehicle but keeping the same appearance. Its time consuming for the people in charge and not cheap either. Battery kits are required, and it can take a while to find the perfect match. Once done, though, the once high maintenance classic cars become more reliable and self-sufficient. An up-gradation of each & every part of the car is necessary.
There is a huge growing market in the conversion and up-gradation of classic cars. Some of the best options remain a 1974-78 Mustang, RBW MGB Roadsters, Electric Defenders, Everrati Porsche and more.
