Virat Kohli’s final game in charge of RCB Ended in a heartbreak. Kolkata Knight riders defeated the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first eliminator of IPL 2021, which took place at the Sharjah Stadium Dubai on 13th October 2021.

He finished his bowling spell with figures of 4-21 and then scored 26 runs of 15 balls which helped KKR reach the target of 139 with two balls to spare.
Last month, RCB announced that Virat Kohli had decided to step down as their captain after IPL 2021.
Since taking over the captaincy in 2013, Kohli took his team to the playoffs thrice in nine seasons. His most successful year as a captain was in 2016, when RCB finished runners-up.

On Monday, Sunil Gavaskar said that Virat Kohli had added brand value to RCB that only a few other players have been able to do for their franchises.
“But can one ever dispute what he has done for RCB? He has done magnificently. There was one year where he got 973 runs in the IPL. Fell short by 27 runs for 1000 runs,” Gavaskar added.
CONCLUSION
Though Virat Kohli did not deliver any IPL titles as a leader of RCB, you cannot doubt his passion for cricket. He has left behind the legacy of a captain who is always willing to give his best for the team he plays for.
