    According to the different seasons, nature gives us magical elements that protect us from the impacts. In summer, we use lemon, mint, curd, onions, melons, coconut water, cucumber, tomatoes, and so on. 

    In rainy seasons we eat fruits like apples, Jamun, litchi, plums, cherries, peaches, papayas, pears, etc., for improving our immune system. And if we talk about the winter season, I must say it is the best season for eating because, in the winter season, we can eat more and more without any doubt.

    Still, if that food is healthy too so nobody will stop eating, it will fill your tummy with nutrients and give and preserve our body from diseases. 

    There are some winter hacks we can use in our diet and maintain and protect us from winter. So

    let’s discuss.

    Ginger Tea ( Adrak Vali Chai):-

    When we get cold, our mother always suggests taking ginger tea because Ginger contains few vitamins and minerals. It helps boost immunity and keeps the body warm. Ginger is a flowering plant that is widely used as a spice in kitchens worldwide.

    It protects from cold infection, cough, nausea, indigestion, maintain sugar level. We can add it in daily morning routine a cup of ginger green tea or ginger lemon honey water.

    Jaggery (Gur) :-

    Jaggery has a high level of antioxidants, minerals, iron, zinc, selenium, magnesium and keeps the body warm. It helps in blood purification and improves blood circulation. It is a concentrated product of cane juice. Include a dice of jaggery after a meal to aid digestion. 

    It cleanses the whole body, improves digestion, prevents anemia, improves immune function, aids glucose control and weight loss. We can make laddoos of jaggery with dry fruits, and it will stop food cravings.

    Dry Fruits (Meva):-

    Dry fruits keep warm during the winters. Dry fruits are rich sources of calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, protein, riboflavin, vitamin A, C, E, K, B6, and zinc. Taking a handful of nuts in between meals is a good option. We can make ‘mevaladdoos’ with jaggery or with dates.

    Sesame Seeds (Til):-

    Sesame contains protein, fiber, healthy fats, calcium, vitamin B, vitamin E and antioxidants. We can make ‘til ke laddoos’ and can eat at least one in a day. We have to use sesame oil in the kitchen while making dishes.

    Citrus Fruit:-

    Citrus fruits are full of vitamin C. Citrus fruits like oranges, lemon, Indian gooseberry (Amla), limes, grapes. In citrus fruits contains nutrients and these nutrients are types of antioxidants. These antioxidants boost the immune system, and this immune system produces white blood cells necessary to fight infections. 

    This citrus fruit helps from preventing cold. People with a low amount of citrate in their urine are likely to develop kidney stones here. Citrus fruit increase citrate levels, which may reduce those risks. Citrus fruits help in glowing skin. Approx every natural beauty contains vitamin c, which we provide from citrus fruit directly.

    Turmeric (Haldi):-

    Turmeric (Haldi) is an essential part of the Indian kitchen. It contains the most active compound, curcumin which has scientifically proven health benefits, helps in heart disease and prevents against Alzheimer and cancer. Turmeric we also use in making face masks. And in Indian weddings have a haldi function which is continuing from very ancient times. This function protects the bride and groom from infection but now is converted into a separate function. 

    Turmeric boosts immunity, reduce inflammation and promotes good sleep. Turmeric has ‘n’ number of benefits if we discuss.

    Root Vegetables:-

    Carrot, sweet potatoes, radish, beetroot etc. Carrots are good for eyesight, blood pressure, skin and hair. Root vegetables are full of fiber and antioxidants, low in calories, fat and cholesterol.
