As we all know, Uber is a top-leading travel app that has been providing its services since 2009. The mission of Uber is that “transportation should be as reliable as running everywhere for everyone’’.
We can easily access its service by requesting a ride in your app, and the nearby driver accepts it and picks you up from the location and drops you off at your destination.
Not only ride-hailing, but Uber also has many services to provide its customers. These may include Uber Eats, package delivery, couriers, freight transportation, renting of electric bicycles and scooters, etc.
Apart from these services, the company is now preparing to launch a new service in its organization where people can experience a one-stop for all traveling purposes.
UBER LAUNCHES NEW SERVICE
As per CNBC, the company is set to offer Train, Bus, and Flight bookings on its UK app. As per CNBC, this service will be extended to other countries if it proves successful in the UK.
The company itself will not sell tickets, the user needs to book them in the app, which allows integration with platforms that sell tickets according to the bookings and aims to become a travel ‘’Super App.’’
Although Uber didn’t disclose which integrations it’s going to partner with, maybe soon it’s going to wind up working with major aggregators such as Booking.com and Expedia.Inc. The company is going to make a profit by collecting service fees from its bookings.
The bookings of Trains and Buses will be starting on the app from this summer whereas Flights and Hotel bookings will be launched later this year.
Jamie Heywood the Head of Uber in the UK addressed that Uber hopes to be a ‘’One-stop-shop for all your travel needs” and includes that users have been able to book rides, bikes, boat services, and scooters for many years now in the Uber app, so adding Trains and Coaches is a natural progression.
UBER TO PROGRESS IN COMING DAYS
Uber is going to operate for more than 30 months in London after agreeing on the rights of Uber drivers, it won permission to operate in the UK which is one of the biggest markets for Uber, and this decision provides the highest stability in the UK.
The company is going to announce plans for various patterns in upcoming months where tech giants will take a cut on each booking.
The Technical Integrator will assist the app users with the usage of apps in the UK, and allow users to choose the app of their choice, such as Free Now and Bolt.
The UK is considered the highest marketing place for Uber besides the US, so if it has successfully launched and run its new service it may find success in all other parts of the world.
