Toyota unveiled the all-new Innova Crysta EV concept at the Indonesia International Motor Show in Jakarta. The first image of the car is going around Paulton.
It will be the first car from Toyota with a fully electrified powertrain, although the company has not yet announced official details on the upcoming electric Innova car.
THE ELECTRIC CAR IS BASED ON INNOVA CRYSTA
The concept does not look like the next-generation car; it seems to be the present generation of the MPV, which is the Innova Crysta in the Indian market. We can say that it is a combination of the Innova and an electric concept.
The design and body shell of the new launch is the same as those present in the Innova, with some key differences. The front grill is completely closed off, the body is covered with plastic panels, the bumper is altered with a small change, and the alloy wheel design is very unique.
There is an eminent “Electric Badge” at the rear door of the MPV car, which means that the car is designed with a fully electric concept and not a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle.
THE NEW LAUNCH FEATURES EV SPECIFIC STYLING
As there is a similarity between the EV concept car and the present Innova Crysta, it differentiates and features innovative electric styling.
Based on the images revealed by Toyota, there is an eco meter with an updated instrument cluster, but it is not digital, it has an analog dial in use. Along with the eco meter for an EV, there is also a tachometer.
There is a demonstration screen display in the car that works for displaying vehicle information like speed, currently used gear, battery level, and availability range.
The headrests have an Innova EV badge, and in many places, along with the headrests, the remaining cabins are identical to the Innova Crysta.

DO INDIA IS AVAILABLE ON THE MARKET LIST OF “INNOVA EV”
As per the sources, there has been no specific announcement made by the manufacturers or the management of the company about the electric MPV.
We can only trace that there was no special launch or marketing for the car. It is exhibited in the event of Indonesia only to figure out the customer’s interest.
However, according to the manufacturer’s plans, the Innova hybrid will be introduced first in Indonesia, followed by a market launch in India.
Maybe it will take a couple of years to come, but the company needs to reveal more details about Innova electric.
For over two decades, the Innova has been the most successful model of the Toyota brand in India and some parts of the Asian Market. The company first launched its MPV in 2004, and now again, maybe in 2023.
