Kanika’s Career in Aviation Industry
Kanika always wanted to be a pilot in her career, so with that zeal, she started working in an aviation company when she was 17.
During her career, she saw many incidents where customers were not satisfied with the services provided by the aviation industry.
Due to a lack of amenities, many passengers were frustrated with traveling.
The charter brokers were always used to making their profits through commissions but not in providing services. By experiencing all these scenarios, Kanika wanted to start an aviation company of her own.
The Rise of Jetsetgo
In the beginning, Kanika planned to buy planes and rent them, but she dropped the idea within a few months and then again started an App in which passengers could book a jet with luxury services like smart management, advanced technology, and spaciousness to travel with their family.
Pets without any restrictions and inconveniences can be profitable to the owner of the jet by reducing the cost of maintenance, reducing ground time, and increasing air time, which makes a jet run profitably.
This way was very successful as many celebrities, politicians, and rich people in India started using Jetsetgo services. ‘
The services of Jetsetgo were like an aggregator like Uber and Ola, where it provides a satisfying traveling experience without a price rise.
Investments and Returns of Jetsetgo
In the year 2013, aviation was started with just Rs. 5600/- by booking chartered flights and, after two years, raised credits and advances from clients and vendors to run the business.
Jetsetgo Aviation Services Private Limited has grown its revenue by Rs. 150 crores by providing services to 1 lac customers and successfully operating 6000 flights in 2020-21.
The charter flights provide a seating capacity of six-seater and eight-seater aircraft.
Kanika had some difficulties in raising funds.
As you may be aware, startups face significant challenges in raising funds.
Then, after a year, her friend and cricketer, Yuvraj Singh, came forward to invest in Jetsetgo in July 2015. A second investment was made by Puneet Dalmia, a flyer with Jetsetgo in December 2015.
Future Plans for Jetsetgo
The company plans to start intercity and intracity air shuttle services by using smaller jets through vertical take-off and landing techniques.
The trips have already launched from cities. like Mumbai-Bengaluru, Mumbai-Tarapur, and Mumbai-Vapi. Delhi- Mumbai, Hyderabad-Delhi & Mumbai-Bengaluru are the most demanded routes.
They also plan to start shuttle services between two points within a city by using helicopters, and while 5% of the shuttle services will be provided for only medical emergencies, they assert that air taxis will be the future of transportation.
To succeed, even in the face of hardships and tribulation, you must have an unwavering desire to achieve your goal and an unwavering resolve to pursue it.
Though Kanika has suffered dreadful disease her belief in herself and strong mind had made her victorious in life.
