ANNOUNCEMENT OF NEW TEAMS
IPL new teams announced, Ahmedabad and Lucknow. Next season there will be ten teams that will be competing f0r IPL Glory. Next season is more interesting 10 teams play for the cup.
The Owner of CVC Capital Partners, Steve Kilts, Donald Mackenzie, and Rolly Van Rappard Choose Ahmedabad for ₹5625 crores. and the Owner of RV Sanjiv Goenka Group, Dr. Sanjiv Goenka, chooses Lucknow for ₹7090 crores. After 6 years, the Board of control for cricket in India is adding 2 teams in the IPL from 2022.
IPL 2022 MEGA AUCTION AND RETENTION RULES
1. The old eight existing teams have a chance to keep 4 players, 3 Indian players, and 1 foreigner or 2 Indian players and 2 foreign players.
2. The 2 new teams have a chance to keep 3 players, 2 Indians and 1 foreigner.
3. The salary for retained players is if there are four retention players -for 1st player INR.16 crore, 2nd player INR.12 crore, 3rd player INR.8 crore, and 4th player INR.6 crore.
4. If a team has 3 retention players INR.33 crore for 1st player INR.15 crore, for 2nd player INR.11 crore, for 3rd player INR.7 crore.
5. If a team has 2 retention players INR. 24 crore will be reduced from the player income, for 1st player INR.14 crore, for 2nd player INR.10 crore.
6. If a team has 1 retention player for the 1st player INR.14 crore.
7. The team can choose only two uncapped players. The group can use RTM when they can keep only three players.
MEGA AUCTION- PLAYER AUCTION
1. In Dec 2021, the mega auction will have held.
2. For 8 teams from November 1 – November 30 can retention the players.
3. 2 new teams from December 1 to December 25 can retention the players.
4. For mega auction, David Warner, Hardik Pandiya has confirmed to entering the auction.
5. MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Ruthuraj Gaikwad are the retention players for CSK, IPL 2022.
NEW RULES AND FORMAT
The tournament will play with 10 franchises, as per the format held in 2011 IPL.
1. The 10 franchises will be divided into 2 groups, each of 5 teams.
2. Each franchise will play 14 games with the other 4 teams.
3. If a team wins, it gets awarded 2 points. If the match were a tie, you would get awarded 1 point for each franchise.
There will be 4 games played for the playoffs
1. QUALIFIER 1: This round will play ranked first 2 teams in the points table.
2. ELIMINATOR: This round will play ranked 3 & 4 teams in the points table.
3. QUALIFIER 2: This round will play the loser of qualifier 1 and winner of eliminator.
4. FINAL: This round will play winner QUALIFIER1 AND QUALIFIER2.
CONCLUSION
Ahmedabad and Lucknow both are the best teams. Next season will be more interesting 10 teams will play for the cup. Finals will be held in Ahmedabad, India is the world’s biggest stadium.
